Jessica Adams
School Social Worker, LSW

Hi! My name is Mrs. Adams and I am the school social worker here at Kendallvue. I graduated from a small school in Rhode Island in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. At this time, I picked up and moved from the East Coast to Colorado where I took a year off to navigate this beautiful new state and decide what my next steps would be! Although I have always been passionate about the importance of academics, it was clear to me how easily a child’s social and emotional struggles can cause barriers in their ability to successfully access their education. Because of this, I decided to change my path of becoming a teacher and enrolled at Metropolitan State University of Denver where I obtained my Masters in Social Work. I entered into the Kendallvue community in August of 2018 and have loved every second of working with such an amazing staff, involved families, and wonderful students.
When I’m not at Kendallvue, I spend most of my time with my husband and two rescue dogs, Dunkin and Cooper! I love being active outdoors and am always looking for new places to hike and explore throughout the state. I love to travel and spend time with family and friends whenever possible. I enjoy listening to music, cooking (and eating) good food, teaching myself how to garden (it’s a work and progress!), and working on DIY projects around my house.
Although my summer has been wonderful and relaxing, I am SO excited to start my second year here at Kendallvue in just a few short weeks. I love feeling needed by others and helping out however I can. Whether I am teaching new social/emotional skills, providing a piece of advice, advocating for a student’s needs within the classroom, or providing a safe space for a student to go when they just need someone to listen to them, I absolutely love my job!
