Fourth Grade Team

Stevie Armstrong

Armstrong family

Hello! My name is Stevie Armstrong. I grew up in Littleton, CO and went all through Jeffco Schools. I got my undergraduate degree in Human Development with a minor in Elementary Education at Metro. I also recently graduated with my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy Instruction from CU Boulder. This will be my fourth year teaching at Kendallvue, and my third year in 4th grade.

I absolutely love teaching at Kendallvue! The community is amazing and the kiddos are such a huge part of that! I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to work with your kids each day. They are constantly teaching me new things and always putting a smile on my face. I love helping kids to understand things they never thought they could!

Outside of school, I am very busy! I work at Earth Treks Climbing Gym, which is also where I spend a lot of my time rock climbing and doing yoga. I get outside every chance I get with my husband AJ and our black lab Sawyer. We go rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, road biking, and love spending time just enjoying the wonderful Colorado Mountains.

Hi Kendallvue Community! My name is Jillian Christensen. This will be my first year teaching, and I could not be more excited to begin my career teaching fourth grade at Kendallvue!

I grew up in Australia and Littleton, CO. I attended a few different schools growing up, including some in Jeffco! I recently graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends! I enjoy trying new restaurants, finding cozy coffee shops, shopping, and playing field hockey. I also love traveling to new cities and countries, but my favorite place to be is always in the mountains!

I have been dreaming of the day when I’d have my own classroom with my very own students - I can’t believe that day is finally here! I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can explore their interests and discover new passions. I am looking forward to establishing a learning community where my students can work together, support one another, and challenge each other. When I was in school, my teachers always took the time to develop a lasting relationship with me and to understand my needs as a learner - I hope to be that type of teacher for your students this year and in the years to come. This is going to be a year of tremendous growth for both my students and myself, and I am so excited to get started!

Hello, my name is Ian Kenison.

I will be teaching fifth grade this year after previously teaching sixth grade for the last four years at Copper Mesa Elementary in Douglas County. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and an undergrad in Economics from the University of Colorado – Boulder (Go Buffs!).

I am a native of Colorado, who loves the outdoors (skiing, hiking, camping, etc.), sports (Go Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche, and Nuggets), music, a good book and spending time with my wife and three children.

I have always loved helping students explore and experience the wonders of our world and truly appreciate the struggles and successes of education. I believe every child is gifted and talented in their own way and I enjoy the curiosities and new perspectives that each student brings to my classroom.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Kendallvue Community and I look forward to our journey together.

Savannah Lennon

Student Teacher in Armstrong's Class

Hi! My name is Savannah Lennon, and I am Mrs. Armstrong’s student teacher. I am very excited to be student teaching fourth grade at Kendallvue!

I am a Colorado native and would not want to live anywhere else! Currently I am attending Metropolitan State University seeking my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in psychology. I love living in Colorado and enjoying all of the outdoor activities this state has to offer!

When I am not teaching you will find me somewhere in the mountains exploring, fishing, hiking, camping, or dirt biking. I really enjoy watching movies, playing board games, listening to 80’s music and just hanging out with my friends and family!

We are going to have a great year, and I am beyond grateful to have this opportunity to work alongside such amazing teachers and students! Teaching is my passion, and I am excited to learn and grow alongside your students! Teaching is an extremely rewarding career, not only do I get to help students learn and grow, but I also get to build lasting relationships with every family and child! I am looking forward to a great year at Kendallvue and I am so thankful that I get to be a part of the Kendallvue family!
