Fourth Grade Team

Stevie Armstrong

Armstrong family

Hello! My name is Stevie Wilson, however, I will be Mrs. Armstrong for the coming school year. I will be getting married soon, but changing my name a little early at school just might make the Wilsons in 3rd-grade confusion a little easier!

I absolutely love teaching at Kendallvue. The community is amazing and the kiddos are such a huge part of that! I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to work with your kids each day. They are constantly teaching me new things and always putting a smile on my face. I love helping kids to understand things they never thought they could!

Outside of school, I am very busy! I work at Earth Treks Climbing Gym, which is also where I spend a lot of my time rock climbing and doing yoga. I get outside every chance I get with my fiancé AJ and our black lab Sawyer. We go rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, road biking, and spend time just enjoying the wonderful Colorado Mountains. I am also working on getting my master’s degree in Literacy Education through CU Boulder.

Hi Kendallvue Community! My name is Jillian Christensen. This will be my first year teaching, and I could not be more excited to begin my career teaching fourth grade at Kendallvue!

I grew up in Australia and Littleton, CO. I attended a few different schools growing up, including some in Jeffco! I recently graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends! I enjoy trying new restaurants, finding cozy coffee shops, shopping, and playing field hockey. I also love traveling to new cities and countries, but my favorite place to be is always in the mountains!

I have been dreaming of the day when I’d have my own classroom with my very own students - I can’t believe that day is finally here! I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can explore their interests and discover new passions. I am looking forward to establishing a learning community where my students can work together, support one another, and challenge each other. When I was in school, my teachers always took the time to develop a lasting relationship with me and to understand my needs as a learner - I hope to be that type of teacher for your students this year and in the years to come. This is going to be a year of tremendous growth for both my students and myself, and I am so excited to get started!

Hello, my name is Ian Kenison.

I will be teaching fifth grade this year after previously teaching sixth grade for the last four years at Copper Mesa Elementary in Douglas County. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and an undergrad in Economics from the University of Colorado – Boulder (Go Buffs!).

I am a native of Colorado, who loves the outdoors (skiing, hiking, camping, etc.), sports (Go Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche, and Nuggets), music, a good book and spending time with my wife and three children.

I have always loved helping students explore and experience the wonders of our world and truly appreciate the struggles and successes of education. I believe every child is gifted and talented in their own way and I enjoy the curiosities and new perspectives that each student brings to my classroom.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Kendallvue Community and I look forward to our journey together.

Sincerely,

Ian Kenison
