Hello! I am Kendyll Hulyk! This school year will be my fifth year teaching and my fifth year at Kendallvue Elementary School (3rd year in Kinder). I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a BA in Human Development and teaching licensure in 2017 and I am graduated with my Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction through Western Governor’s University in 2019. As a lifelong learner, I am always willing to learn new material and look for ways to better myself as an educator to make my classroom a positive learning environment for my students. I have taught sixth, fifth, second grade, and kindergarten! Don't tell, but kindergarten is my FAVORITE!
I believe that every student is entitled to receive an enriching individualized education in a caring and nurturing classroom. My core beliefs are in teaching the whole child, individualization, and continuously fostering intrinsic motivation. I personally strive to be a prepared, proactive, and reflective teacher that facilitates the growth of all children. I am passionate about high student engagement, movement in the classroom, differentiated instruction, and the integration of technology. I am a huge proponent of collaboration and believe that it takes a team to truly make a school run successfully. And I have to say, at Kendallvue we truly do have the dream team of faculty, staff, and families!
A little bit about me, I am a born and raised Coloradan and attended school in Jeffco myself. I am a fourth-generation teacher and believe that this career is my life’s calling. In my free time I love to golf, fish, camp, raft, cook, and surf Pinterest for crafting ideas! I enjoy spending time with my family and my two cats. I am very much a homebody and I appreciate a mellow night in with popcorn and a movie. Despite that, I have done some fun traveling this summer to Mexico, California, Montana, and Oregon. I have enjoyed being busy this summer (teaching a GT camp, summer school, dance camp, nannying, tutoring, and doing some freelance web designing) and am looking forward to returning to the classroom in just a short time!
