Reading Interventionist

Lori Larson

Lori Larson    Larson

Hello, my name is Lori Larson.  I am the Reading Interventionist here at Kendallvue. As part of the Kendallvue family, I will be working with all the primary grades (K-3).My role with students is to enhance the skills that help them read accurately, fluently, and with comprehension. I also work to encourage the love of reading. I teach the Orton Gillingham approach which is based on best teaching practices and principles.

I have worked as a Reading Interventionist for the last eight years. Before that, I was a K-6 classroom teacher for 16 years. My career began in the Clear Creek School District teaching in Evergreen and Empire before moving to Jefferson County.

My husband, Eric, and I have two grown sons, Ethan and Zane. We are also blessed to have a beautiful daughter-in-law, Amanda. Our future daughter-in-law, Zoe, will join our family in February! My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family. You may find us on the golf course, riding bikes, skiing, or catching a Bronco game! And of course, I always enjoy reading a good book!

Happy Reading!
